Gary
B. Solomon, DDS
Dr. Solomon was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and married his
high school sweetheart, Rossi. They have two daughters, Jennifer
and Julie.
Dr. Solomon has been practicing dentistry
in the North Dallas area since 1976. He was a Dean’s Honor List
undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin and
Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts
degree. Dr. Solomon was a pharmacy major prior to dental school. Dr.
Solomon received his D.D.S. degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in
1976.
He was awarded a highly sought after residency in
General Practice at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Solomon
worked in the Public Health Dental Clinic for a year before
beginning
his
private
practice.
Since then he has received many honors including Clinic Awards
from the Dallas County Dental Society as well as both a Fellowship and
Mastership
from the Academy of General Dentistry. He has appeared on Channel 8’s
Dental Health News Program, lectured to medical residents at the University
of Texas Southwestern Medical School and serves as a Clinical Instructor
for the Graduate Department of the Baylor College of Dentistry.
Dr. Solomon is a graduate of the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute,
the Las Vegas Institute and the Texas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental
Association,
Dallas
County
Dental Society
and
the Academy
of General
Dentistry, as well as a member of the outcomes based education committee
for Baylor College of Dentistry and the President's Committee for the
University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Solomon is also a past president of
the Alpha Omega Dental Organization.
Besides being involved in extracurricular activities pertaining directly
towards dentistry, Dr. Solomon is involved in community activities. He
was a Park and Recreation Board Member for the City of Richardson,
a member of the Biologic Review Committee for the Richardson School District
Science
Advisors, a Science Fair Judge for the Greater Dallas Regional Science
Fair and a Photographer for the Plano Parks and Recreation Department.
