Meet Dr. Solomon

Dr. Gary Solomon brings passion, education and the desire to positively impact people's lives to his Dallas Texas Dental Practice. His dedication began early as a Dean's Honor List undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin and Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Solomon was a pharmacy major. Dr. Solomon received his D.D.S. degree from Baylor College of Dentistry.

Dr. Solomon was awarded a highly sought after residency in General Practice at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Prior to starting his own dental practice in Dallas, Dr. Solomon worked for the Public Health Dental Clinic.

Dr. Solomon has received many prestigious honors, including:

• Nominated by his peers in D Magazine as one of the "Best Dentists in Dallas" in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009, and Texas Monthly Magazine as "Top Dentists in Texas" in 2006, 2007, and 2008.
• Received both a Fellowship and Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, one of less than 7% of dentists nationwide to have accomplished this
• Clinic Awards from the Dallas County Dental Society
• Multiple appearances on Channel 8's Dental Health News Program
• Lectures to medical residents at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School
• Serves as a Clinical Instructor for the Graduate Department of the Baylor College of Dentistry
• Popular speaker providing continuing education seminars to other dental professionals on the esthetic appearance of dentures
• Elected to the Board of the Dallas Academy of General Dentists in 2008

Dr. Solomon feels it is important to give back to the community, He coordinates a panel of dentists that provides dentistry to the less fortunate and for victims of abuse and domestic violence for over 20 years. Part of his commitment to others has been volunteering for the Dallas Special Olympics.

Dr. Solomon was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and married his high school sweetheart, Rossi. They have two daughters, Jennifer and Julie.

Texas Monthly also rated Dr. Solomon "Top Dentists in Texas" 2006, 2007 and 2008. Each year, the dental community of Dallas nominates and votes on the dentists they consider to be the best dentists in Dallas. D Magazine sponsors the highly sought-after award and monitors the voting process closely, verifying the credentials of all voters and award recipients. To be named one of the "Best Dentists in Dallas" means that you have gained the respect not only of the community, but of your peers. Dr. Solomon takes this prestigious award seriously and lives up to the criteria in every way. He would like to say "thank you" to his peers who voted for him, as well as to the community that has supported his practice for over 20 years.

		D Magazine's confidential poll taken every other year is sent to more than 1,000 local dentists, asking them to recommend their peers in each specialty for the “Best” in Dallas. Only dentists with a valid dental license were eligible. Finally, an esteemed panel of dentists, representing a range of specialties, reviewed the final list.
		Texas Monthly Magazine annually identifies top dentists as chosen by their peers. Dr Solomon was voted Texas Super Dentist in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
		M.A.G.D., Master of the Academy of General Dentistry A general dentist who has earned the designation of "Master" of the AGD (MAGD) has completed a structured and demanding set of requirements. To attain a MAGD your dentist must first be a Fellow in the AGD. Then you dentist must earn an additional 600 approved continuing dental education credits, meeting minimum requirements in certain dental disciplines, of which 400 hours are hands-on courses.
		Dr Solomon has completed post doctoral training at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Ethical and Comprehensive Dental Care. The mission of the Institute is to improve the health and well-being of the world's citizen's by helping dentists achieve professional excellence and fulfillment.
